Two new grant streams have come on line to help businesses affected by the ongoing restrictions of the covid19 pandemic.

Richmondshire businesses can apply for the Christmas Support scheme for wet-led pubs and the Local Restrictions Support Grant (sector).

All applications for these are live from today (December 17) and can be accessed through richmondshire.gov.uk

The grants are as follows:

Christmas Support Payment for wet-led pubs: this supports wet-led pubs that have been severely impacted over the Christmas period due to temporary local restrictions and derive less than 50% of sales from food.

Eligible businesses may be entitled to a one-off cash grant of £1,000 and this can be paid in addition to any payments made under the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed). The closing date to apply for this grant is January 31, 2021.

Local Restrictions Support Grant (Sector): some types of businesses were required to close from 23 March and have not been able to re-open since – including nightclubs, dance halls and discotheques, adult entertainment venues and hostess bars.   These businesses are now eligible for grant aid with the amount paid dependent on the rateable values.
