Hambleton District Council has a new chairman.

Councillor Mike Barningham  (pictured left) has taken over as civic leader of the authority for the coming year.  He has been a district councillor since 2015, representing Bedale Ward.  He will be accompanied by his wife, Janet and has chosen to support the Yorkshire Air Ambulance during his year in office.

Councillor Andy Wake, ward member for Stokesley, is the new vice chairman.

  • Outgoing Chairman, Councillor Kevin Hardisty has handed over £575 to the charity – Herriot Hospice from his term in office.
